For all debaters who are involved in the DAV D Grade competition, here are some tips of how your case should be set up.
With this we will relate this to the Round 4 topic of: That the internet does more harm than good.

1ST SPEAKERS:
The more we are on-line, the more we will decline. (Try to start the debate with a Time Line. It is a critical part of debating to show that as a team you link together)
Hi, I'm the 1st speaker of the affirmative team tonight, and I am here to argue the case that the internet is doing more harm than good.
Tonight we define this debate as the internet, being the world wide web of immorality, doing more harm than good, being damage to someone. (Standard Definition)
Tonight, I, the 1st speaker will be looking at the - what the internet is, what problems are created through using the internet. Our second speaker, will be looking at - how easy children can get into problems on the internet, and also be looking at cases which relate to this issue. (Standard Split of two points per person. Do not introduce third speaker)
Tonight my 1st point is the problems that are created through using the internet........(From here go into detail of points. Debaters who start each point like this gather marks in sign posting)
The more we are on-line, the move we will decline. (Included the team line between points, makes your case easier to follow)
Tonight I have talked about....... (After all your points are completed it is always a good idea to summarise your points briefly, which reminds the adjudicator what you have tonight)
The more we are on-line, the move we will decline. (Always finish with the team line)

If you are on the negative team, the only change that is required is replace the definition with rebuttal.
