This page is dedicated to on-line debates where each month we will take a new
topic and give the arguments to both sides of the topic. The first debate, is
set up between myself, David Swierzbiolek (Involved with the DAV for 6 years as
a debater and adjudicator), and Daniel Grigg (currently studying Politics). My
wish is to have feedback from people, and maybe even have an on-line debating
competition.

TOPIC:
THAT ATHENS SHOULD BE THE LAST OLYMPICS
Affirmative: (Daniel)
The World Needs Change,
Hello Everyone, Tonight, I will be discussing the issue that Athens should be
the last Olympics. I define this topic, as Athens being the capital of Greece,
and home to the first Olympic games, and last Olympics, is to put an end to this
sporting event that we call the Olympic games.
Tonight, I will be talking about Stress, Costs, Economic, Security, History and
Competition Spirit.
My first point tonight is about the Stress that is being placed on the Staff in
Greece, trying to get the Olympics games ready on time.
Negative: (David)
Don't Blow Out The Olympic Flame,
Hello Everyone, Tonight, I will be discussing the issue that Athens should not
be the last Olympics. I agree with the topic that Daniel has supplied tonight.
Tonight, I will be talking about Benefits, World Uniting, The History of the
Games and the Spirit of the Games.
The benefits of the games to all the nations around the world would be
a major boost to a world currently dominated by terrorism.
